Stop Looking For "Better" and Truly See What You Already Have

It is normal to want the best in Life...it is quite different when you already have the best and want more...

Stop being greedy!
Instead, try being grateful and see what happens!

When we think that there is not enough to go around, or when we believe that our being given something that is good for us, the thing that is automatic with a lot of human beings is that we think that what we already have in front of us is great, but at the same time we cannot help but think that we can "do better" than this.

Most of the time this is the truth. When it comes to things - actual things - we are probably right. We can always "do better" when it comes to inanimate objects.

But when we are talking about people, the thing that we cannot stop to do after we have found that somehow, these people just belong in our lives, is the idea that we can do better than what has been given to us. I am a sinner in this regard, recently even, but I know that it will take time for me to not automatically do like humans do and to actually believe and know that what is in front of me is meant to be. We all do it. Every one of us does it. We want to know that God has us, but then when God answers our prayers we also want to behave as though God does not know what he is doing and that we can do better than God does. We can't. I tried. It doesn't work. I chose to trust God and everything is cool now, or at least getting that way.

This is not to say that there are going to be people who show up who are great and who are the best thing for us, but in a sense, when they drive us crazy and they do things that we don't like and are not in line with our Soul's purpose the way that we assumed they would be is when we start to know that somehow there is more to what we are going through than is giving clue to. When we run into proverbially "bad" people who do "bad" things we want to push them away without regard to the lesson at hand. There will always be people who bring us grief, but always know that the giref - not the person - is the lesson.

When we can learn to trust that what we have been gifted by God is what is best for us, and when we can sit back and see the beauty that is ours, that we called into our lives and when we can be grateful and not expectant - THAT is when we will realize that what we wanted was ours all along, and that where we are in life at this moment is totally where we are meant to be. When we can accept that maybe more is not better, when we can think to ourselves that the reason we have certain thoughts, the reason that things other than that one thing we cannot figure out keeps on reappearing and keeps on behaving like the thing we so very well wished for is the time that we will have a sudden epiphany about the reason that we keep on seeing the thing over and over again, and why it is that same said thing keeps popping up, or keeps sneaking into our heads, or just keeps appearing in the form of the same person...when we can truly believe that God Has us, that is the time that we know for sure that somehow, whatever it is, it is blessed by the very grace of God.

The reason it keeps popping up, the reason they keep showing up...the reason, dearest ones, is not always because you are still learning with whatever or whoever, but because that "result" in the form of a person, place or thing IS what you asked for, and now is the time to explore it. If we continue to not be grateful for all that we are given, we will find ourselves to be at a great loss, not only for whatever or whoever it is, but also the lesson we were meant to learn from them. When we are fearful that we might miss out on what we think is out there and there for the taking is when we start going through all the problems. This is something that I learned very quickly  yesterday, and it came as a relief because the truth is that we each can only handle what we are given at the time we are given it, and when we go out and seek out more and want more and think we can do better than what God has done for us is when our problems in that one area of life will begin. If you want to stretch, that's a good thing, but if you want to be stretched beyond what is humane and good and will keep you guessing...keep checkin' God and see how much God likes it when we mere mortals step around what God knows is exactly what we need....you might find yourself in that same circle you were in to begin with...karma...it's that bitch we can't escape!

...and no - this is not just the morning thought...it is the Truth!!
